What is it and how it can help you

Help you reduce pain, create more efficient movement, stabilize posture, set goals and help you achieve them.

Corrective Exercise is a term used to describe the systematic process of identifying a body’s dysfunction, developing a plan of action to fix the dysfunction, and implement an integrated corrective strategy.  The new mindset in fitness should cater to creating programs that address functionality. This should be done in a safe individualized approach. In other words, a program should consider each person, environment, tasks performed, potential imbalances, movement deficiencies.

What I can do for you is help

  1. Identify the problem
  2. Solve the problem
  3. Implement a Solution (keep it from coming back)

To solve the problem takes a person into four phases of action:

  1. Inhibitory phase- Rehab (ART, Graston, ETC, Self Myofascial release rolling)
  2. Lengthening phase- Static and neuromuscular stretching.
  3. Activation Phase- Positional Isometrics, and Isolated Strengthening.
  4. Integration Phase- retains Collective Function, Dynamic Movement.

After this, you will be able to progress into performance and should be able to advance without dysfunction. Every individual has a different reason to be pain-free and functioning optimally. At the end of the day, it is my desire to help you achieve that goal. We will work together with your current practitioners to create a plan that works best for you.

Fitness is a way of life. It’s a way of thinking and I can also help you set appropriate achievable goals so that you stay on track with your corrective exercise plan.

Corrective Exercise is like construction. If you have a crack in the foundation and you keep patching it up, soon it will become a HUGE problem and you will have to rip the structure down and rebuild.
