Alex Ogbongbemiga

Alex was selected 36th overall in the 2016 CFL Draft by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Alex played 2 years in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos and the BC Lions. Alex began his college football career at the University of Houston before finishing off with the University of Calgary Dinos.

Alex graduated from the University of Calgary in 2015 with his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and currently is in school to become a Registered Massage Therapist in 2021.

Alex has been fortunate to be coached by 1998 Denver Broncos Superbowl Champion Allen Aldridge (High School Head Coach), 3 time Vanier cup champion Blake Nill, Philadelphia Eagles Wide receiver coach Carson Walch, and current University of Calgary Dinos Strength and condition coach David Swagar. Heavily influenced by his past coaches, Alex bases his coaching philosophy on the lessons he learned through his time under them.

Alex mentored local Alberta athletes Chuba Hubbard, Amen Ogbongbemiga, through their high school recruiting process leading to their signing at DIV 1 Oklahoma State University. He enjoys working with young athletes, as he believes they are the future. Alex enjoys sharing the mistakes and lessons he learned during his sports career to young athletes to ensure they don’t make the same. “If the knowledge isn’t shared then how are we supposed to grow?”

Alex has worked with a variety of individuals from NFL athlete Sam Eguavoen, NCAA/CIS college athletes (Multiple sports), to your everyday mom and dad seeking to achieve their specific fitness goals.

No matter the wellness goal, whether it’s getting ready for an upcoming sports season, preparing for a special event in your life (wedding, monumental birthday), or just overall wanting to better your overall well being. Alex is committed to structuring a subjective plan geared towards you to achieve your goals. Alex also implements his sports background into workouts with his clients making exercising dynamic, fun, and engaging.
